Typically, a WMP is prepared for inclusion in a development application package. The report demonstrates that the proposed development includes waste management provisions that meet the local government policy and/or development code requirements. The WMP also ensures that the development design includes the required allowances for waste management during building operation (i.e. suitable height clearances, corridor widths building access, services etc.).
WMPs can also be provided for a development that is operational and seeking to improve waste management practices and reduce waste servicing costs.

We ensure that each WMP is prepared in accordance with the relevant policy requirements of the jurisdiction where the proposed development is located.

Generally, we can provide a completed WMP within two weeks of engagement and following issue of the site plans.
We engage with the project team including the architects, traffic engineers and other relevant disciplines along with Council’s assessing officers to ensure seamless delivery of a compliant waste management report.

Developers recognise the importance of ESD considerations in new developments with some seeking Green Star accreditation for their development projects. Inclusion of an operational Waste Management Plan provides additional credit points towards the overall Green Star rating of a building.
